June 16, 2018 - Los Angeles - Asking some serious questions of one-time teammates, L.A. Wolves FC couldn't find the answer for 2017 UPSL MVP Paolo Cardozo.

The former Wolves FC midfielder scored twice and L.A. Wolves FC was nipped in a 2-1 loss to California United FC 2 in a United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) Pro Premier Western Conference game at Orange County Great Park.

L.A. Wolves FC Felipe Bernal said, "(Cardozo) is a known name around this league, and especially around this club. The players have a lot of respect for him, maybe too much, but he's always ready to attack and he broke down our defense twice. Respect to him, but we played hard and I'm proud of the effort we showed tonight. Cal United FC is an experienced team, and we're young. We showed heart."

L.A. Wolves FC (7-3-1 overall) next plays L.A. Galaxy PSC OC in a UPSL Pro Premier Western Conference game at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at Lake Forest Sports Complex.
